Technical Bulletin 1394a-2000 Connector Socket and Plug

The purpose of this bulletin is to alert all manufacturers of new and revised interface drawings for recommended dimensional tolerance changes to the connector PCB socket and cable plug found in the specified by IEEE Std 1394a-2000 supplement. This has become 4-circuit connector system is also known in the industry as the “1394AV or DV Interface” With wider adaptation of 1394 technology, new manufacturers of the interface have begun productions, these revisions and changes are to help produce a more uniform and intermateable product.
