FireWire In Action 1394: Under The Hood Products About the TA 1394 by Industry Events Press

FAQs ABOUT 1394-ENABLED HUBS and REPEATERS

It can be very frustrating to bring home a shiny new hub that purports to connect devices using USB, FireWire, and other great technologies... Only to find out that it doesn't work as you expected it to. We've all been there.

There's one primary point to remember when considering your next hub purchase: You can reap the benefits of any given connection technology only if you use that technology from end to end in your solution. Even if your hub has both USB and FireWire inputs, if you connect it to your computer using USB, you will use the benefits of your FireWire cable.

If you have more specific questions, please don't hesitate to drop us a note and we'll try to get an answer for you.
